4:30pm – AI & CX After Hours: Redefining Patient Engagement in the NHS

Wrap up day one with a drink and some great conversation with digital leaders from Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, UK Power Networks and University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. They’ll share their award-winning stories on transforming patient and customer experiences. It’s a laid-back chance to swap ideas and hear how AI and CX tech are changing the game in healthcare and beyond.

Day 2: 19th March

11:00am – Transforming Patient Communication: University Hospitals Sussex’s Award-Winning Journey

Donna Steeles, Assistant Director, Performance and Improvement, will discuss University Hospitals Sussex’ award-winning approach to improving patient engagement by going digital with their patient facing communications. Donna will cover:

  • Their ambition for the trust and why digital was the only solution
  • The use of AI-powered automation for validating waiting lists leading to a 13% reduction in the overall number of patients waiting
  • How they saved over 266 hours per week in manual data entry, equivalent to over seven full-time positions .
  • What’s next for the Trust in terms of integrating letter and telephone responses into the system, as well as extending automation to include additional patient cohorts and questions to improve patient communication.
