Ecliptic delivers powerful digital platform to transform insurance Value Chain relationships
The challenge
Ecliptic is a specialised InsureTech solution provider, who design and deliver innovative solutions for the insurance market and it’s Value Chain. Ecliptic is a Netcall partner.
40% of revenue for the Lloyd’s of London Market is derived from a subset of third-party agencies which underwrite products and commit them to insurance policies.
Strict regulations
The insurance industry is highly regulated with stringent requirements placed on registered and approved insurance entities for oversight and management. With many stakeholders in the value chain, comprehensive reporting is vital for corporate governance and service operations.
A comprehensive solution catering to many party types was needed to manage the value chain relationships in the Delegated Authority market. It needed to remove manual repetition and restrictive spreadsheets while enabling efficient management of performance, authority and the audit process.
Ecliptic used ourlow-codeplatform, Liberty Create, to develop this solution – Aries. Taking only 60 days to build the initial application, Ecliptic then worked collaboratively with the market to iteratively improve the application capabilities. This led to the rapid deployment of a solution that supports the full Delegated Authority eco-system.
“Netcall’s Liberty platform gives us an effective tool to build capability very quickly to demonstrate our solutions to clients, then develop and mature these solutions in an iterative process.”

The solution
Providing end-to-end binder visibility, Aries manages the entire Value Chain for Delegated Authority Business. From the creation and onboarding of binders and programmes, through approvals, contracting, auditing and relationship management.
Aries gives carriers and auditors the unique ability to review files at the same time in a single platform. The platform provides due diligence, ongoing contract management and provides a clear view of each onboarding stage.
Technologically challenging and unique, Aries provides a highly configurable platform to meet diverse audit guidelines through a collaborative approach.
Audit templates can be customised with weighted and grouped questions. This is supported by a four-stage workflow which gives multiple carriers and auditors the ability to review files at the same time. Full visibility of scoring recommendations, responses and actions add to the depth of quality reporting — in customised views with spreadsheet export functionality.
The Aries platform provides a secure area for sharing data, offering a searchable contacts directory of all stakeholders.
Other functionality includes group chat, messaging, configurable questionnaires, and fee cards.
“We can work with clients and service providers to address all their needs. Liberty has enabled collaborative development within our organisation, and with our clients, through design, build and ongoing change. It is a testament to Netcall and the Liberty Create platform. The depth of capabilities within the platform has inspired innovations for our customers.”

Building applications. Fast.
Here’s how you can implement a large-scale drive for operational excellence.
Frustrated with relying on external resources for technical developments on tasks which they didn’t deem to be particularly challenging, with results slower and not always in line with their requirements, HTB felt they could build and manage the systems they needed better themselves.
